Donald A. Woolf Sr., LCSW, of Chicago and Oak Park, died on November 13, 2008.

Mr. Woolf was a cycling enthusiast, member of The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus and activist.

He was the cherished father of Donald (Erin Christian) Woolf Jr. and Robert (Cece) Woolf; proud and loving “Pops” of Alex Gonzalez and Nicole Woolf; beloved brother of Maureen (Don Blanchette) Woolf, Catherine (Lawrence) Downey and Michael (Victoria) Woolf. He was adored by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Catherine Woolf.

A celebration of life for Mr. Woolf will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, at Unity in Chicago, 1925 W. Thome.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, www.cgmc.org or to Loretto Convent, 1600 Somerset Lane, Wheaton, IL 60187.
